Chandlers Hill Winery

Watkins Grape + Wine (WG+W) operates from its Chandlers Hill winery, which is the largest winery in the Adelaide Hills wine region with a site production capacity of 5,000 tons or 3.7 million litres of wine.

Located on a 7.5 hectare site with main road frontage, WG+W operates a 40 tonne/hour Miller crusher/destemmer, two Bucher bag presses, a range of fermenter sizes from 10 tons to 65 tons, 4.5 million litres of stainless-steel tank storage and on-site laboratory facilities.

The facility uses the Vintrace winery software to monitor and record all wine history, analysis and Label Integrity Program data to ensure compliance with all regulations.

The 3,000 square metre insulated warehouse has large areas for barrel storage as well as underfloor concrete drainage to allow the barrel work to take place indoors and away from the weather and elements.

As WG+W will not be utilising the full 5,000 tonne processing capacity of the winery from its 160 hectares of vineyards (plus growers), it is seeking relationships with a limited number of clients for which to undertake contract processing and winemaking work at the site.

The Chandlers Hill winery is located less than one hour’s drive from Adelaide International Airport making it easily accessible to international customers.
